Have you ever wanted to take a class to learn a new technique that you can use on ANY pattern? Do you have some of Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 Design tools at home still in the package and are not sure how to use them? Do you avoid certain patterns because there is a square in a square unit or a snail’s trail block in it? Would you like to take a quilting class that does not leave you with another UFO? Then you need to consider joining Tucker University! The next 3 month series will include the Large Square Squared, Diamond Rects and Corner Pop tools.
November: 1-1001 Large Square Squared - More squares inside of squares inside of squares. The Large Square Squared is a perfect format to feature any fussy cuts or embroidery pieces. But it doesn’t stop there! Have you ever seen a quilt with a snail’s trail block and thought it was too difficult? Then you will fall in love with the Large Square Squared, which simplifies this complex block. (Thursday, November 6th)
December: 1-1101 Diamond Rects - If the Storm at Sea pattern is on your bucket list, but you don’t want to paper piece it, then the Diamond Rects has just become your new best friend. Once you learn how to make the Diamond Rects units you will no longer avoid what you thought was a complex technique. Don’t miss the boat, jump on board now! This tool is also great for making fancy diamond borders. (Thursday, December 4th)
January: 1-1201 Corner Pop - Stop throwing away half of those squares you used to pop off a corner and start saving your fabric by using the Corner Pop. Before you know it, you will be popping off the corners of every unit. The Corner Pop does just that, it helps to add a pop of color to any unit and can add a secondary pattern to your quilt. (Thursday, January 8th)
Phase Four of Tucker University is a three-month commitment. The $145 registration fee covers all three sessions, and includes instruction from a Studio 180 Certified Instructor, offers cutting charts, design sheets, technique sheets, color planning aids, and a Blackline Master with 20-30 additional block options.)
