Certified Studio 180 Design Instructor Jackie Mowday makes this pattern easy using DEB TUCKER’s WEDGE STAR tool instead of the paper templates that come with the pattern, or Edyta Sitar’s Acrylic Template set. With the Wedge Star tool you will make the blocks slightly oversized and trim them down for precision piecing. “Alaska” is a Traditional Quilt Pattern by Laundry Basket Quilts. Finished quilt size is 71-1/2" x 71-1/2”.
This class will be a 4 part series. In the first class Jackie will teach you how to Tuckerize the Alaska pattern to use the Wedge Star tool. In the other 3 classes she will instruct you on the 3 different blocks that make up this beautiful quilt. You will also learn many tips for putting this quilt together to get perfect star points, and will discuss ways to quilt your quilt.
