Wow, what a work of art! The Peacock is an exceptional example of hand-applique design. From the tail feathers to the bunches of berries, each piece was hand-sewn in place.

Notice the extra applique on the borders and pillow portion of the quilt. A close up inspection also reveals the hand-embroidered detail of the vines and tendrils.
