The Pennsylvania Dutch Star is an exceptional quilt because it boasts incredible piecework in the Lone Star portion and elaborate applique on the background sections. Take note that each of the corners of the star background feature a different PA Dutch love bird motif. The pillow portion and borders are heavily laden with applique detail, and the perimeter is accented with prairie points, an unusual addition to any quilt! Hand-quilted by an Amish friend, Lancaster County, PA.
