The expert shading in this quilt creates a 3-dimensional effect and the illusion of blocks falling across the bed. The Tumbling Block pattern can only be done well by an experienced seamstress, and the piecing of this traditional design is very precise. Each diamond has discreet hand-quilting all the way around, adding loft and dimension to the design. Hand-quilted by an Amish friend, Lancaster County, PA.
