This beginner-friendly embroidery class is designed for anyone who has been curious about embroidery—but maybe a little unsure where to start. In this one-day, six-hour class, you’ll create a custom quilted sewing machine cover made specifically to fit your machine. We’ll begin by learning how to measure your sewing machine and use those measurements to build a simple, practical cover. From there, you’ll learn a basic quilting technique, choose the appropriate stabilizer, and place an embroidery design on top of the quilted fabric for a polished, finished look.
You may bring any embroidery design you love, and we’ll also cover how to add lettering beneath your design to personalize your cover. All embroidery machines are welcome—Bernina users will receive guided instruction specific to their machines, while non-Bernina users should be familiar with basic machine operation. The pace is supportive and encouraging, with step-by-step guidance throughout the day. By the end of class, you’ll leave with a completed sewing machine cover and, more importantly, the confidence to say, “I can do this!"
