Sewing for Kids: Learn to Sew!

Past Class

Learn how to thread a machine, straight and zig-zag stitching, pivoting, ironing, and if needed, ripping. After some initial practice, put your new skills to work making a stylish and useful roll-up pencil case. You’ll also learn how to use fusible interfacing to give your project structure. The skills taught will set you on the path for more creative projects and possibly a lifelong hobby!

No prior sewing experience is needed. Our kids' classes are recommended for students ages 10 to 14. Students must be old enough and comfortable enough to stay with the teacher (who incidentally has Pennsylvania clearances for working with children.) Sorry, no space available for parents or guardians.

The registration fee does not include the supplies for the class. Click on the link below to view the supply list for this class.
