Sewing for Kids- Learn to Piece a Block

Past Class

If you are 10-14 years old, you can make a fun throw pillow by piecing half-square triangle blocks.

Learn the trick to make eight half-square triangle blocks at one time by sewing and then cutting with a rotary cutter. After all your blocks are made, have fun arranging them to create your own design. Then, piece together your design with an accurate quarter-inch seam allowance. You will complete your pillow with an envelope closing.

Choose two contrasting fat-quarters (such as a print and a solid) for this project, so you can easily see your block design.

"Sewing for Kids: Learn to Sew" (or other sewing experience) is a prerequisite for this class.

A required supply list will be sent with your registration confirmation.
