The Color Play Workshop will be a hands-on exploration of color theory in modern quilting and improvisational quilting presented by Carrie Strine. Formally trained as an artist, with experience teaching college art courses, Carrie brings her formal design and color training to quilt design in this all day course.
Together students will learn the physics, meaning, and interaction of color in modern quilt design. Focusing on the principles of color theory and various color phenomena, the class will ultimately work these ideas into playful color-packed improvisational mini quilts.
Basic sewing and quilting skills required.
