The Singer Featherweight Club celebrates America and the “Greatest Generation” with blocks that were published in the Kansas City Star newspaper in the early 1940’s. The Comfort Quilt block is simplified by using strip-piecing. You will learn to use the Tucker Trimmer to make the 2- and 3-color hourglass units for the Silent Star block.
The Singer Featherweight Club meets monthly to sew blocks that were published weekly in the Kansas City Star newspaper from 1928 to 1961. The blocks have been updated using modern tools and techniques instead of templates.
The registration fee does not include the supplies for the class. A list of required supplies (fabric and notions) will be sent with your registration confirmation email.
