Come make a fun mesh tote with Miss Kandra! A mesh tote is perfect to use at the beach because any sand that gets inside will fall through the holes! Use it for other things, too, like carrying books to the library or your clothes to a sleep over.
As you make your tote, you will learn the skills to sew on mesh and webbing, bind seams, make box corners (so your bag has a flat bottom) and add two outside pockets.
Choose a colorful and fun fabric for your pockets, then choose mesh and webbing (for handles) in coordinating colors.
Our kids' classes are recommended for students ages 10 to 14. Students must be old enough and comfortable enough to stay with the teacher (who incidentally has Pennsylvania clearances for working with children.) Sorry, no space available for parents or guardians.
"Sewing for Kids: Learn to Sew" (or other sewing experience) is a prerequisite for this class.
