March Feet First: Mastering BERNINA's Feet

Upcoming Class

Feet First: Mastering Bernina’s Footwork is an immersive class that guides students through the art of precision sewing using specialized Bernina embroidery feet. In this session, learners explore the unique capabilities of the #20 foot and #6 foot to create intricate decorative applique edging and master the technique of couching, elevating both quilts and garments with professional, eye-catching finishes. Through hands-on practice with a variety of materials—from scrap fabrics to hand towels—participants gain the confidence and skill necessary to seamlessly integrate advanced stitching techniques into their projects. The class not only highlights the technical benefits of the open embroidery feet, which provide clear visibility and precise control around complex applique shapes, but also demonstrates their versatility across various decorative stitches, including satin, blind, and overlock. With clear demonstrations and opportunities to replicate techniques, students leave equipped to transform ordinary fabric edges into stunning design features that add both durability and artistic flair to their creations.
