This happy village is a variation on the villages created by Karen Eckmeier in her book, Happy Villages. The technique is the same as Karen uses, but each village is unique to their creator. Using Christmas themed fabrics and embellishments and finally tulle, the village comes to life. In class, you will learn how to “construct” your village with sky and foreground. Then you will be able to embellish your village with other fabric fussy cuts, buttons, decorations, etc. Finishing this mini quilt will require a piece of tulle to overlay the quilt and your sewing machine(at home). You will not be able to make just one!
