If you want to try making a bargello quilt but feel overwhelmed by the size of the project, come learn the technique on a smaller scale!

Build your color-choosing confidence by using richly colored prints or beautiful batiks. Start with a few main colors to match your decor and go from there. Place mats also give you a great opportunity to sharpen your free-motion quilting skills on a project that's easy to manage on a standard sewing machine.

The pattern used in class is for a set of four place mats (14" x 20" each). Your goal in class will be to sew at least one place mat and go home with the confidence and enthusiasm to complete the set.
