This quilt combines two classic quilt patterns, Country Love and Boston Commons. Boston Commons is an old pattern based on simple 2-3-inch blocks. Generally designed from one or two color families, the overall design is understated. The blocks ripple out from the center to the border, with values of color repeating for a striped effect. A graceful heart formed with flowers and pretty bow create the focal point in the Country Love design. It’s the work of an expert appliquer, for sure! Hand-quilted by an Amish friend, Lancaster County, PA.
