A Historic Destination
Since 1978, The Old Country Store, located in the heart of the village of Intercourse, PA, has provided its customers with a wide assortment of fine wares. Today, The Old Country Store, with its selection of more than 6,000 bolts of fabric, gorgeous locally-made quilts and crafts, array of books and notions, and irresistible collection of locally preserved foods, remains a destination for visitors and locals alike.

The grand three-story brick building was built by the Eaby family in 1833 to provide local customers with clothing, housewares, appliances, and fabric. Today, locals, including many Amish and Mennonite craftspersons, and visitors choose their fabric from the extensive selection in the fabric rooms.
Locally Handcrafted Items
The Old Country Store’s old-fashioned shelves are filled with thousands of locally handcrafted items--from potholders, to redware pottery, to Amish dolls. The Store remains committed to supporting local craftspersons, most of them Amish and Mennonites, by featuring their locally-made crafts, rather than items from nationally manufactured gift lines.
The Store also provides everything one needs to make a quilt, including an impressive selection of quilting notions and supplies. Browse through our quilt books, and choose color-coordinated fabric packs for your next project. Or, select from our wide variety of pattern kits, carefully assembled by the Store’s experienced staff.

We recently renovated part of our historic store to make room for a variety of locally preserved foods, cookbooks, and interesting informational books on Amish and Mennonite life.
